Bean looking forward to local green beans? They're here! 💚

Hi folks!

It's always my goal to give you a reason to come out to the store and the market, to shop, and support the great work your co-op is doing in your name. Your shopping dollars are the fuel for our economic engine of goodness!

First thing you need to know is that local, Organic BLUEBERRIES grown by the amazing Mitchell's family are still abundant at store and market! At the market on Saturdays, you'll also find incredible berries by Harris and Vigil families! Get 'em while you can! I am always sad when the last box is sold...

Next thing: GREEN BEANS. Whether your thing is to pop a fresh bean in your mouth and taste the fresh sweetness of summer, or to include it in your new favorite dish (see our recipe at the bottom of this email), you'll want to get some. In store right now, we have beans by Crisp Country Acres in Holland. So good!

Thursday, check out PFC's first ever KID'S MARKET, at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market, 2-6pm. In addition to our usual Thursday market fun, you'll find booths personed by young people 17 and under, peddling products they made, repurposed or cooked themselves.

Finally, this Saturday, August 10, is the final NATIVE PLANT TOUR at PFC for 2019. Join Dave Wendling, PFC owner, botany enthusiast, and Wild One, for a tour that shows how PFC has converted a contaminated brownfield site to a haven for pollinators!

Ta ta for now!

Chris
