Message from PFC GM Chris Dilley 4/4/18

Hello hello!

Oh how we appreciate you, PFC Owners! Let us count the ways!

This weekend is the first ONE of the new month, and we have TWO great ways for you to save all THREE days, Friday through Sunday:

1) Receive 10% Owner Appreciation Days discount off one shopping trip during those three days, and
2) Oberon, our Beer of the Month is on super sale for only $7.99 per six pack!!

Other new stuff you'll find in the aisles this weekend:

  • Papayas will greet you as you come in the front door. Here's a short video on determining ripeness and preparing papaya.
  • Though Annie's has lots of vegan salad dressing options, we have added Daiya brand Blue Cheeze and Ranch dressings. Let us know what you think.
  • Always worth a shout out is the AMAZING selection of mushrooms in our produce department. New this week are fresh Shiitake mushrooms, in addition to the chanterelle, hedgehog, clamshell, trumpet, portobella, maitake and crimini already in the set. Saute with butter. Period. Or sprinkle in some fresh fiddleheads for a real treat!
  • Fun beers in stock as we dream of warmer days include Founder's Solid Gold Lager, New Holland Tangerine Space Machine, and Short's Critterless, a sour ale. There are many more to choose from, too.

Our March Change for Change program raised $2,940 to benefit the work of Open Roads Kalamazoo. Thank you so much for rounding up at checkout! April's Change for Change will support Kalamazoo Drop-In Child Care Center, a local organization that has provided free childcare to low income families in our community for over 27 years.

People are raving about our new texting program: get a note from PFC sharing a special deal, event or message for you every morning. It's easy: text "PFC" to the number 80373.

Finally, a big thanks to the folks that came out to last night's Community Visioning session. Thanks to Hether Frayer, board dynamo and skilled facilitator, and the PFC Board for hosting. This is just part of the ways we're gathering input about what's next for PFC. Please plan to attend the PFC Annual Owner Meeting on Thursday, May 24. More details on that soon.

Thanks for being part of PFC. Together we ARE community.

See you soon!
Chris
