You're the Apple of Our Pies

Hi Good People!

My name is Katie Justa, and I'm the pun-loving Marketing Coordinator at PFC. I'm a Kalamazoo area native, graduating from Western Michigan in 2015 with a degree in Organizational Communication and Sociology. I get pretty excited about my three dogs, local food, camping, and craft beer. You can reach me at media@pfckalamazoo.coop! I love hearing your comments about all things PFC marketing and shopping experience. Which coupons are most inviting? What kind of events do you want to attend at the Co-op? How can we best serve you? Email me your thoughts, or catch me in the store to talk!

Have you tried some of the new PFC Bakery creations? In the cooler by the salad bar and in the cases by the coffee up front, you can find a variety of Fresh Baked Goodies. Slices of Ricotta Cheesecake with Homemade Toppings, Slices of Apple Crumb Pie, Whoopie Pies, Muffins, Sugar Cookies, Cupcakes, Vegan Wheat-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies, and more! An ever-changing mix of all your favorites baked by Natasha and the PFC Bakery team. We're taking Special Orders for PFC Bakery Holiday Pies--Bourbon Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, and Apple Crumb Pie!

Here are the need-to-know pie details:

  • Each pie is $19.99--whole and crafted with so much love and local goodness. Vegan OR Wheat-Free Pumpkin Pies are available for $22.99.
  • Pumpkin Pies made with Cinzori Farms Organic Pumpkins!
  • Bourbon Pecan Pies made with Grand Traverse Distillery Bourbon, a Pure Michigan liquor crafted with a mash of locally sourced corn, rye, and malted barley.
  • Apple Crumb Pies made with Molter Family Orchards Organic Apples!
  • Order with a friendly PFC cashier by November 17 to get your Pies by Thanksgiving.
  • Need it before Thanksgiving? Please order at least 72 hours before you'd like to pick it up.
  • Payment is required at time of ordering.
  • We'll call you when your Pies are ready for pick-up.

The PFC Deli team has crafted some New Pre-Packaged Salads--Kale Caesar, Cobb, and Maple Pecan Feta. You can find them in the cooler up front with the other grab-and-go deli items. The dressings are all Housemade, and the Pecans are caramelized in the Deli as well!

This Saturday, October 27, Angie from KalamazooHerbals will be doing samplings of her Elderberry Syrup and Fire Cider at PFC from 10 am to noon. Elderberry Syrup is commonly used to support and boost immune system functioning. Fire Cider also has immune-boosting properties, but it utilizes heat to mobilize the system into increased functioning.

Finally, Cid, PFC's Produce Manager, has a crazy awesome deal for you this week that I'm psyched to share. With the coupon below, get TWO Local Carving Pumpkins for $7! These Pumpkins are from Schultz Fruitridge Farms in Mattawan. We have a big ol' box of them up front, but they're only available while supplies last, so we encourage coming in soon to snag some. And if you're feeling extra festive, we'd love to see your creative carvings, please email your Jack-o-Lantern pics to media@pfckalamazoo.coop to be featured on our Facebook!

See you around the Co-op!
